We currently have an exciting opportunity for a HR Officer to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Senior People Partner, the HR Officer has a key role in acting as a conduit within the People Operations team, to support the delivery of effective and trusted people leadership through Bulla’s leaders.  

The role actively supports the strategic business agenda through people and culture initiatives that are aligned to the business objectives. This includes supporting the HR Partners in providing specialist advice and guidance to the business and supporting the delivery of end-to-end employee lifecycle services to Bulla’s leaders, relevant employees and/or potential employees. 

Based in Colac, this role embraces a hybrid working model. Please note, a minimum of 3 days will be required at our regional site in Colac Victoria.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand their HR needs and provide generalist HR support and guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between HR and other teams to foster collaboration and align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Support with the coaching of business leaders on people and organisation needs to ensure alignment with the business strategy and desired organisational culture
  • Support the biennial Alignment and Engagement Survey and ensure action plans are integrated with HR strategy.
  • Support the relevant business leaders with the delivery of robust Performance Management processes and outcomes
  • Support business leaders with respect to the improvement of workplace productivity
  • Support business leaders with respect to completion of the annual performance appraisal (PDP) process
  • Contribute to accurate and valid reporting on key HR metrics
  • Assist business partners with the implementation and delivery of People Operations Policies and Procedures
  • Support the People Partners and L&D Team to delivery of relevant training frameworks, consistent with role requirements and business expectations.
  • Support People Partners to manage organisational change
  • Provide support and assistance for relevant business partners to assist with the resolution of workplace relations issues and cases, including the investigation of complaints.
  • Issuing of Employment Contracts for Bulla when required.
  • Support the effective utilisation and adherence to EBAs and other relevant employment terms and conditions, and provide relevant insights to the business partners

You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Human Resources, or similar preferred;
  • Minimum three (3) years practical HR experience in commercial environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • An understanding of HR principles and best practices.
  • Desire to progress through generalist HR career pathway
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with particularly outstanding influencing skills
  • Sound ability to flexibly and cooperatively work across multiple teams
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to regularly travel between sites and hold a current driver’s licence
