Project Manager with previous experience delivering major TFNSW projects

Seeking a highly skilled Project Manager who has successfully delivered major TFNSW projects across Sydney Metro. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the construction and maintenance of roads, highways, and intersections to ensure they are safe and efficient for the public.

This Top tier contractor has been delivering major infrastructure projects across NSW for the past 16 years. They specialise in Roads & Bridges, Concrete Structures, Tunnels, Rail, Communications, Electrical, Water and Traffic Management. They have been working directly for Transport NSW for the past 5 years, from remote areas to major urban projects.

General duties

  • Plan & Coordinate: Develop project plans aligning with the company standards.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Collaborate with TfNSW, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Administer Contracts: Oversee procurement, negotiation, and compliance.
  • Manage Risks: Identify and mitigate project risks effectively.
  • Ensure Quality: Implement stringent quality control measures.
  • Optimize Resources: Allocate resources efficiently to meet project goals.
  • Ensure Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Report Progress: Provide regular updates to TfNSW and stakeholders.
  • Handle Changes: Assess and manage changes to project scope and budget.
  • Drive Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Engage Community: Address community concerns and maximize benefits.

About you

  • 6+ years of experience
  • Experience in civil engineering and construction
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
  • Experience with scheduling and budgeting for projects
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Occasional night shifts may be required
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role
