WHS Manager


Work Location: Stawell, VIC 3380

Thomas Foods International (TFI) is one of the largest employers in the Victoria Northern Grampians region and operates a modern meat processing plant in the town of Stawell. We are currently seeking an experienced WHS Manager to join our team. This role will spearhead a ‘safety first and always’ culture across the operation by providing leadership, strategy, direction and specialist advice, and working in close consultation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance to WHS legislation, regulations and standards for TFI.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Management of WHS system.
  • Provide effective WHS consultation.
  • WHS program planning and implementation.
  • Measurement and evaluation of WHS performance.
  • Emergency & First  Aid Management.
  • Return to Work & Injury management.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or related discipline.
  • First aid qualification (Desirable).
  • WHS experience in a production/manufacturing environment (Desirable).

Key Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and able to plan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound investigative, problem solving and report writing skills.
  • Identify and control hazards.
