About this role:

Working within Queensland Rail’s Major Project, Engineering, and Rail Safety business group, the Technical Assurance Manager role will see you joining the Systems and Integration team working across several different major projects. You will have a strong background in technical systems and safety assurance delivery, demonstrable experience in the delivery of complex multi-discipline projects, with the ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders.

You can expect some of your responsibilities to include:

  • Lead the planning and execution of QR assessment of externally delivered projects technical assurance progress, providing clear direction as to delivery alignment with Queensland Rail Standards
  • Ensure consistent and comprehensive compliance review, enabling status of delivery progress at key milestones across multiple projects   
  • Manage the identification and rectification systemic or specific findings, escalating issues to provide recommended corrective action at senior governance forums
  • Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business can accept safe and fit-for-purpose assets effectively

What you can bring to the role:

  • Extensive knowledge and leadership experience in system engineering, system safety, risk management, assurance and governance principles
  • Expert engagement of broad range of stakeholders
  • Extensive leadership experience, strategic thinking, and management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of rail systems and safety case development would be highly favourable
