Former Australian Defence Force Command, Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Mike Lean has been named as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the Port of Hastings Development Authority.

Authority Chair, Yehudi Blacher, welcomed Mr Lean’s appointment, saying that it came at a crucial time for the development of the Port over the next 10 to 15 years.

“Mr Lean brings a wealth of project and delivery management expertise to PoHDA, along with unparalleled leadership experience that will serve the Authority well in this next critical phase in the evolution of the port,” Mr Blacher said.

“Mr Lean’s appointment follows an outstanding career in the public and private sectors, including as Commander of the Australian Battalion VII in East Timor, senior roles with Tenix Defence and most recently as Head of Project Management & Business Governance (Maritime) with BAE Systems.”

Mr Lean’s appointment commences on the 18th of February.
