Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator’s (HVCCC) Chief Executive, Jonathan Vandervoort, has announced he will be stepping down from the role in January next year.

Mr Vandervoort, who was the company’s inaugural CEO, has worked in the role since its incorporation in 2009. He also led the company’s predecessor, the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Logistics Team.

“It is a very difficult decision to leave, but after five years I feel that the time is right for me to pursue other opportunities and hand over to a successor who can build further on the strong foundations we have created,” Mr Vandervoort said.

The company has appointed Shanthi Herd as interim CEO while the company conducts a search for its next chief.
