Chief Procurement Officer

The organisation:

Our client is a high profile, complex and multi-faceted organisation with global operations and employing over 5,000 staff. 

Your role:

Reporting to the CFO, your role will be to implement best practice strategic sourcing, including strategy development, resourcing, process optimisation and value-for-money assurance across the business.  You will review current approaches, practices and structures, and recommend and implement new models as required.  You will liaise across and outside the organisation to ensure the highest levels of customer service and attention to the needs of the business.

You are:

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • A senior procurement executive with leadership experience in large, complex and diversified organisations, ideally with multi-site operations
  • Highly commercial, a strong negotiator and stakeholder manager with a strategic perspective
  • Analytical and financially astute with strong presentation skills, gravitas and influencing skills
  • Experienced managing a spend budget of several hundred million dollars
