If you are seeking to build on your existing Integrated Logistics Support skills, then this position would suit you.  You will work in a team that looks across the Defence Organisation to build integrated support systems for a complex Defence capability.

The Integrated Logistics Support Manager in the AIR6500 Project Office is responsible to the Project Integration Lead for undertaking a range of logistics tasks in the requirements and acquisition phases of the project while working in a small team responsible for integration of all elements of the Fundamental Inputs to Capability.

AIR 6500 Ph1 will deliver a Joint Battle Management System by upgrading or replacing Air Force’s in-service fixed and deployable air battle management systems and sensors, and forms part of Defence’s land-based Integrated Air and Missile Defence capability. Delivery of the Joint Battle Management System requires development of complex cross-organisational relationships in order to prepare a number of Integrated Logistics Support Plans.  Critical tasks for the AIR6500 APS6 Integrated Logistics Support Manager are:

  • developing logistics strategies, plans and functional requirements;
  • managing Foreign Military Sales Case and Export Control licensing tasks;
  • defining Basis of Provisioning requirements;
  • identifying and managing Government Furnished Information and Equipment;
  • management of risk reduction studies; and
  • request for Tender development and evaluation activities.
