Ships Division within Department of Defence will play a critical role in the establishment of a naval ship building enterprise over the next two decades. This Division will undertake and deliver a range of exciting and challenging programs aimed at building and sustaining Australia’s future naval capability. To achieve this, the Defence organisation requires a talented, motivated and skilled workforce to drive this critical Government agenda. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to be involved in a variety of major acquisition projects across Ships Division: Boats, Upgrades and Infrastructure Development, Specialist Ships Acquisition, and Future Frigates. We conduct detailed analysis in defining how new shipbuilding capabilities will be supported, including development of strategies and support concepts, finalising functional requirements and constraints, undertaking data analytics, evaluation activities and coordinating delivery and implementation of the support solutions. We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience in integrated logistics support, and supply support activities across major capital or complex projects, including a sound understanding of the role of logistics support analysis in the acquisition process, experience in logistics applications such as the Military Integrated Logistics Information System, and familiarity with Defence supply chain processes and procedures.

The successful candidate may be required to travel interstate.

Employment will be offered on an ongoing (permanent) basis.
