Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

• Remuneration: $128,850 - $152,018 plus 15% superannuation (Salary above the base is dependent on skills and experience)

The opportunity

Our Financial Planning and Analysis team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, outcomes focused individual with strong analytical skills to join our team as Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis.

In this role, you will undertake enterprise level financial planning, analysis and reporting activities, facilitating financial performance management, informed decision making and provision of strategic insights to Senior and Executive Management and the Icon Water Board. You will also be part of our upcoming finance transformation, which includes implementation of a new Financial Information System.

A day in the life.

• Provision of data driven financial analysis to deliver meaningful insights into business performance and support recommendations for management decision making
• Undertake Icon Water’s top down, bottom up and long-term planning and forecasting across the entire financial portfolio
• Monitor, analyse and provide commentary on Icon Water’s financial performance and projections against established targets for a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and provide options to manage financial risks and opportunities
• Promote governance of the management information framework to ensure integrity, consistency and transparency

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting and membership of CPA or CAANZ with at least 8 years post qualification experience
• Extensive experience in enterprise level financial planning and analysis across income statement profit, capital expenditure, cash flow and balance sheet
• Demonstrated experience using financial information management systems, budgeting/modelling applications and business intelligence applications
• Experience in business performance and Board reporting and developing KPIs and dashboard reporting
• Experience in financial information management systems implementation would be advantageous
• High level of commercial acumen
• Strong professional and business writing skills
