About the role
Are you looking for an opportunity ‘to plan and deliver services valued by the community’? Do you like a variety of work across a wide geographic area? Apply to join Clarence Valley Council’s Mechanical and Electrical Team in the Water Cycle section for the opportunity to grow your skills in one of the most scenic, beautiful and geographically diverse areas of New South Wales.
This position is one of three fitters in the Team (plus one apprentice) and the variety of work will include undertaking fabrication and mechanical repair, servicing and maintenance for Council’s Water, Sewerage and Floodplain infrastructure. The assets Water Cycle is responsible for include water and sewerage pipes, sewage treatment plants, water reservoirs, chlorination plants, sewer, water and flood pump stations and floodgates. The Team also assist other areas of Council such as heavy fleet, caravan parks and open space with fabrication and specialist repair.

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
