What you need to know...

  • permanent full time76 hours per fortnight
  • salary - $49,627 - $59,181 per annum, plus superannuation
  • a 9 day fortnight
  • location - South Grafton 
  • the opportunity to accrue time in lieu
  • the opportunity to 'purchase' leave

About the role

We have a vacancy in our Natural Resource Management team for someone interested in weed control. But not just any weeds – we’re talking control of Invasive species - Biosecurity matter – those weeds impacting on our productive and protected landscapes in our beautiful Clarence Valley.

We are looking for someone with experience in the application of a wide range of weed control techniques – chemical, physical, mechanical. This role requires that your equipment is kept in good condition and operational at all times.  There is also a need for mapping infestations on tablet PC’s and recording of pesticide usage.

This position is based at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
