Executive Manager - Operations
CSIRO’s Manufacturing Business Unit brings together multi-disciplinary scientific and engineering capabilities using world-class infrastructure to partner with industry to develop innovative products and processes to allow Australian manufacturers to be globally competitive and environmentally sustainable.
The Executive Manager, Operations is a new role with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Business Unit (BU), providing leadership and direction, and ensuring the BU is strategically focussed, operationally efficient and financially viable. You will work closely with CSIRO support functions including HR, communications, finance, and HSE, and manage key internal and external relationships to ensure optimal business operations. This role will facilitate the strategic development of organisational capability, implement business improvements, and have oversight of the physical and financial resources. You will assist with the day to day running of the Business Unit through operational planning and delivery of the Business Unit’s strategy, delivering strategic capability for Manufacturing people and facilities, ensuring capability evolves and is matched with the BU’s science directions.
As a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team, you will need to demonstrate high level skills and knowledge relevant to the manufacturing domain and the ability to interact with customers and stakeholders at both operational and senior executive level. You will also require experience in development and optimisation of systems and a strong working knowledge of influencing team behaviour.
Location: Melbourne (Clayton) or Sydney (Lindfield)
Salary: Attractive salary package is negotiable
