Procurement Officer (National Facilities, Collections, Business and Infrastructure Services)

CSIRO Finance is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join the National Facilities, Collections and Business and Infrastructure (NFCBIS) team within the Strategic Procurement section. As the Procurement Officer, you will undertake a range of complex procurements and associated procurement activities.

In this diverse role, you will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus which will be augmented by your working knowledge of government procurement policies and how they apply to a Corporate Commonwealth Entity.

Your duties will include

  • Procurement activities including undertaking complex procurement activities in a manner which is compliant with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Contract development/management including assisting CSIRO business units to set and monitor supplier's compliance with contract terms and conditions, deliverables and reporting requirements.
  • Relationship management including ensuring risks and issues are escalated to the appropriate delegate in a timely manner.
  • Contract management and reporting including assisting with the management of panel procurements in order to provide additional capacity to meet periods of high workload demand

Salary: AU$62k - AU$79k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be successful you will need

  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, government or administration and/or relevant work experience in supporting government policy and procedures.
  • Experience in procurement and/or contract management.
  • A history of identifying improvements to current processes, coupled with the ability to communicate alternative and improved practices to key stakeholders to support CSIRO's position as a Commonwealth Agency.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A history of professional and respectful behaviours and attitudes in a collaborative environment including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • To consent to a National Police Check if your application is successful.
