About the role:

  • Support the planning and execution of hydrogeological projects in relation to both strategic and tactical mine planning
  • Support long term mine planning early hydrogeological and groundwater risk assessment
  • Support technical assessment of system hydrogeology for subsequent groundwater and mining interaction risk evaluation and controls, which includes surface water and groundwater interaction, seasonal groundwater response and system uncertainty consideration
  • Collaborate with mine surface water management planning and execution activities to ensure integrated groundwater and surface water management approach
  • Support drilling program development and contractor management for groundwater evaluation

What you can bring to the role:

To play a part in their ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification in hydrogeology
  • Technical skills in groundwater investigations including borehole planning and implementation, hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessments
  • well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience with GIS software and spatial data analysis
  • Technical skill experience in geological understanding and interpretation as it relates to hydrogeology
