You will familiarise yourself with waste compaction unit, heavy articulated vehicles and front end loader.
As a Deck hand (transfer station attendant), some of your day-to-day duties will include:
- Assist members of the public with disposing of their general waste
- Assist in managing the transfer station operations i.e. cleaning and upkeep
- Resource Recovery
To succeed in this position you will need:
- Ability to safely perform a range of physical tasks and duties as directed, in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability and desire to provide support and assistance to team members and positively contribute to the team culture.
- Experience in driving Semi trailers, hold a current Heavy Combination (HC) license.
- Experience in weighbridge operation and compliance
- Dedication to resource recovery and diversion of material from landfill
