National Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing - Liquor 

The role

Reporting into the GM – Operations (Liquor), this role will develop and deliver on the safety strategy resulting in an increased capability and confidence of the Liquor Leadership team in leading a safety culture that delivers great results through providing insight, guidance and coaching.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • extensive experience in people safety with experience in self-insurance preferable or at minimum extensive management systems experience
  • proven capability in leading a team of safety professionals
  • proven record of achieving results and leading change within a fast-paced dynamic business with experience in retail preferable
  • demonstrated ability to translate business safety analysis of performance into improvement goals and strategies
  • track record in developing and implementing safety strategy

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • developing and implementing a sustainable health, safety and wellbeing strategy that drives continuous improvement in outcomes 
  • leading, developing and empowering the Liquor Safety team to deliver results
  • building positive working relationships with the Safety regulators nationally and Group Team cover, ensuring self-insurance is maintained and regulatory issues are handled effectively
  • ensure the liquor safety and injury management system is effectively implemented to drive continuous improvement on a practical level while meeting self-insurance requirements nationally
  • build trusted advisor relationship across the leadership team to influence leadership actions and insight on a day to day basis
