ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of Moreland City Council’s in-house Area Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain our Parks and Open Space for all Moreland’s citizens to enjoy. You will specifically maintenance of our Council playgrounds and open space infrastructure in accordance with Council’s Open Space Maintenance Service plans. You will play a key part in ensuring Moreland’s playgrounds are a safe and vibrant space for the public to enjoy. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE 
  • Certificate III in Horticulture

  • Extensive experience in horticulture field, chemical use and use of horticultural/landscaping machines

  • Extensive experience in landscaping and garden maintenance

  • Previous experience supervising a successful team

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Playground Safety accreditation - Conduct visual inspection of park facilities & Conduct operational inspection of park facilities or equivalent are desirable

  • Familiarity with AS 4685 Playground Equipment and Surfacing is desirable

  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence and Medium Rigid Level or equivalent would be highly regarded
