What is your new role about?

We are searching for a switched-on Works Delivery Manager to manage a high performing team that operate and maintain distribution and transmission assets and maintain the construction of distribution and transmission networks. This role will suit an experienced licensed electrician, with transmission and distribution networks experience.

Your new role will include:

  • Deliver the Asset Management Plan (AMP) with a strong focus on safety.
  • Identify and promote long term strategic programs to increase efficiency of Horizon Power's assets via input to the AMP.
  • Develop & implement service works delivery management process as guided by Government regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance and status reports on the management of assets to the Asset Manager.
  • Provide 6 weeks of work visibility and technical support to the Network Officer/s, Power Workers and Trades roles, including population of availability roster.
  • Issue and monitor work package delivery to support effective and efficient works delivery within approved budgets.
  • Ensure assets are built and maintained in line with agreed plans and standards and all assets are properly quality assured.
  • Manage emergency and breakdown support for the network.
  • Manage Horizon Power appointed contracts.

Our new Works Delivery Manager Karratha will have:

  • Current Electrical Workers Licence, and/or Certificate III in electrical supply industry – Transmission.   
  • WA Driver’s License Class “C” or “C-A”.
  • Transmission Switching Level 4.
  • Significant technical experience in a Transmission and Distribution Network environment. 
  • Sound knowledge of Transmission and Distribution networks, maintenance and operations field practices and procedures. 
  • Practical knowledge of electrical protection systems within Transmission and Distribution Network systems. 
  • Sound knowledge of project, contract and maintenance management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of budgeting and associated cost controls
  • Sound knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
