The City is seeking a Tree Contract Coordinator to join our Tree Management Team.
The City’s Tree Management Team is a leader in urban forest management. We are guided by our Sustainable Sydney and urban forest strategies to deliver ambitious goals to increase canopy cover and improve the urban forest.
Working as part of the Tree Management Team, the Tree Contract Coordinator will manage the City’s street, park and property trees to best practise standards. Your responsibilities will also include managing service and consultancy contracts, implementing safe tree maintenance operations that incorporate sound risk management principles, driving quality client outcomes, and providing expert technical arboricultural advice to a range of stakeholders.
You will have an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture, with extensive experience in managing urban trees, including in tree health and hazard assessment, operational and supervisory experience in the delivery of arboricultural services and demonstrated experience or comprehensive understanding of contract management.
Excellent communication skills are also required, as is a proven track record in meeting strict deadlines, balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities and to work effectively as part of a team.
