The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) is the peak body for asset management in Australasia. As an international leader in public works asset management, IPWEA has identified the benefit of having all tiers of government adopt a consistent approach to infrastructure asset management.

The Congress will provide a forum for discussion that will generate and nurture ideas and lead to opportunities that will synchronise federal, state and local government infrastructure asset management. The theme for the Congress is ‘Communities for the Future, Infrastructure for the Next Generation’. Knowledge will be shared and feedback gathered to inform IPWEA, their National Asset Management Strategy (NAMS) and key stakeholders on future initiatives that need to be embraced and undertaken by the asset management community.
